STORM UPDATE — TOWN OF LITCHFIELD

Thanks to the continued efforts of Eversource, Litchfield Public Works, and our emergency responders, we have made significant progress following today’s storm.

At the height of the storm, we had nearly 1,500 power outages. That number has now been reduced to fewer than 400.

Eversource crews continue to work closely with Litchfield Public Works to remove downed trees and clear roadways as crews safely de-energize wires and make repairs.

There are still downed trees and power outages in several areas, including:
• Sawmill Road
• Portions of Route 254
• Maple Street
• Other areas throughout town

Please do not drive through flooded roadways. Water levels can be deeper and more dangerous than they appear.

Stay away from downed power lines and trees. Never assume a downed wire is safe.

Unless you have an emergency or need to travel, please stay home and allow Eversource crews, Public Works, police, fire, and other emergency responders to safely clear the roads and restore power.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as crews continue working to get Litchfield safely back to normal.
